Jeffrey P. Johnson, M.D.Dr. Jeffrey P. Johnson received his medical degree from Columbia University in New York in 1990, followed by a surgical intership at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and a clinical fellowship in Surgical Neurology at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland in 1991-1992. He completed his neurosurgical residency at The Neurological Institute of New York, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, in 1997. Dr. Johnson was in private practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico before coming to St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, Oregon in September 2000. Dr. Johnson is board certified in neurosurgery.
Carmel Wimber, PA-CCarmel works with Dr. Johnson to help care for patients in his office practice and in the hospital, both before and after surgery. She also serves as first assist during surgery.
Carmel graduated from Pacific University's PA program with an MS in Physician Assistant Studies before becoming a certified PA specializing in neurosurgery. PAs are board-licensed health professionals who practice medicine as part of a team with their supervising physician.
